I watched this debate tonight for what seemed to be the hundredth time. It just amazed me how some people like Shorrosh would say or do anything to convince people of their convictions, even when they can see for themselves that they have nothing to say and undoubtedly feel the error of their own ways.
Many Ayahs of the Holy Qur'an jumped to my mind where Allah (SWT) tells the Messenger (PBUH) that he -and us by default- cannot guide anyone no matter how hard we try or how clear the signs are. It's up to Allah (SWT) to guide whom He sees are righteous and truly seeking Him (SWT).

The Holy Qur'an : sourat Al A'raf: 173-174 wrote:Or lest ye should say: "Our fathers before us took false gods, but we are (their) descendants after them: wilt Thou then destroy us because of the deeds of men who were futile?" Thus do We explain the signs in detail! and perchance they may turn (unto Us).
